In January 2002 a first version of the program complex 'Cargo Rates' designed for
Siberia Airlines was released.
The program complex 'Cargo Rates' is destined to perform storing and processing of information concerning rates of cargo transportation. The system is created using client-server technology. It consist of database on MSSQL 7 server, client program for viewing and editing rates information, and system working log analyzing program. Client programs work in Windows 95 OS and higher and provide modern comfortable interface. The system is enclosed with a complete set of documentation - 'User Manual', 'Security Manager Manual', 'Administrator Manual' and context help system.
The program complex 'Cargo Rates' allows to reduce spending on rates management in cargo transportation's sales department, to exclude information loss and damage, to prevent unapproved access to it. The system also allows authorized access for all company employees needing this information.

Users' access to the system control
To begin working with the system user must provide valid user identifier and password. Assignment of user identifiers and passwords is accomplished by the system administrator.
Users' access rights delimitation
User can only perform actions which are determined by his assigned role. User identifiers are associated with roles by the system administrator.
Information integrity and consistency
The system provides integrity and logical consistency of information stored.

Users' actions log
All important actions of user are recorded into system logs, which are allowed for security manager analysis.

Plans
Works are carried on for further system development. Plans include: complete business processes support; communications with agents, using rates; providing managers with various analytical reports.
The second stage of 'Cargo Rates' project is finished
On this stage we have created a web application, which allows air company agents to browse information connected with cargo rates.
